Most of the garbage trucks in the UK are electric ones. Some of them use the fuel produced from litter. The first ecological garbage truck was made in the UK in Electricity generated from garbage is used to charge the battery of the truck. After 6-8 hours of charging this truck was able to drive 160 km.

One of the greatest problems in the UK is food wastes. Every year citizens of that country throw away about 7 million tons of food. Meanwhile 60% of that food you can eat.
In fact British people get rid of the food which is not stale yet but also is not 100% fresh. In some districts such food is sent to hostels, homes and canteens for the homeless.
