11 RFP Process and Initiative Funding
During the past two years ( and ), we have approved 43 initiatives for funding from 265 proposals submitted (about 16 percent). Cycle 1 (Fall 2017): 64 proposals received; 12 funded Cycle 2 (Spring 2018): 75 proposals received; 10 funded Cycle 3 (Fall 2018): 58 proposals received; 9 funded Cycle 4 (Spring 2019): 68 proposals received; 12 funded Through all four cycles combined, Penn State has awarded more than $9 million in seed grants.
