Important: Leave the sight word bag in your child’s blue folder. New words are added each Monday.
Our Learning
Reading: Realism and Fantasy; realistic stories can happen and fantasy stories can never happen. We will review characters, setting and plot.
Consonants d, h, l
Math: We will begin Chapter 2, subtraction strategies, subtracting numbers within 10, counting numbers forward and backward within 50. Writing/Grammar: Simple Sentences—a group of words that complete an idea. It begins with a capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark.
We will practice writing sentences in our writing journals daily.
Our Learning
Library books are due back to school on Friday.
*Homework is being sent home today. Please read with your child 60 minutes this week and complete the math worksheet. The bag is due back on Thursday.
Practicing at Home
Please practice addition and subtraction within 10. Also,
practice counting to 50.
As you read at home, search for words that begin with d, h, & l.
Practice reading and spelling sight words each night.
