Dear Parents, I would like to start this bulletin by welcoming all our new families that have started Highwood this term. I am sure your children have settled in well and I hope they already feel part of the Highwood community. Staffing update: We have successfully appointed an Assistant Head Teacher to oversee EYFS and Key Stage 1. Mrs. Parker, who already leads EYFS, will see her leadership role in the school grow and take on the strategic oversight for this area of the school. We are currently recruiting for a similar position to lead Key Stage 2. I will update you once the position has been filled. Thank you for your support. The Highwood children ran several times around the route, whilst being showered with powder paint, which made for a very colourful event! Can you help?! We would be very grateful for parent volunteers to come and support Key Stage 2 children with reading. If you can spare some time to come and help please speak to the office or Dressing up stock needed! Bag2School Please remember to bring in your Bag2School donations of any unwanted clothes, bags and shoes etc. by Friday 3rd May. The F1 dressing up shop is in need of more accessories. If you have any shoes, handbags or hats that you could donate to this very popular activity they would be much appreciated. FOH hope that everyone had a great Easter break. Details of this term’s events will be out soon.
