1 NHS e-Referral Service
Advice and Guidance worklist changes May 2017 v1.0

2 Introduction Release 6.3* of the e-Referral Service will deliver a change to referrers who use Advice and Guidance (A&G) functionality. What’s changing? The current ‘Advice and Guidance Responses’ worklist will be replaced with a new worklist named ‘Advice and Guidance’. This worklist will display all A&G requests and their current status. The following screens detail the current functionality and the planned changes. *Release 6.3 is scheduled to be released on 19th May 2017, subject to testing.

3 Current A&G functionality
Advice and Guidance Responses worklist. This displays A&G requests where a provider has responded to a request or where a provider requires more information from the referrer.

4 Current A&G functionality
Awaiting Booking Acceptance worklist. This displays A&G requests waiting for a response from the provider.

5 New Advice and Guidance worklist
All A&G requests will be present on this worklist after 6.3 is released. No pre release action is required by users. All A&G requests that were on the ‘Awaiting Booking Acceptance’ worklist will be moved to the new worklist showing the status of ‘Provider Response Required’.

6 New Advice and Guidance worklist
The ‘Response Status’ column shows the status of each A&G request. An A&G request will be removed from the Advice and Guidance worklist once the referrer has ended the A&G conversation or when the patient has been referred to a provider.
