Plan your meals People who eat regular meals find it easier to maintain a healthy weight than do people who overeat, skip meals, or snack. Planned meals are normally more nutritious Reduce fat by eating more fruits and vegetables

Be Tobacco-Free Quitting smoking is the most important thing you can do to improve your health Smoking causes cancer, heart disease, and strokes Lung damage that smoking causes is not reversible; however, quitting prevents more damage from occurring

Manage Stress Stress is unavoidable, but it doesn’t have to have a negative impact on you Diet, exercise, sleep, and avoiding drugs and tobacco all affect stress levels

Take Care of Your Teeth They will last a lifetime if you take care of them Brush at least twice a day for 3-5 minutes (your tongue too!) Floss at least once a day to remove plaque from below the gums and between the teeth Avoid high-sugar foods, especially sticky, sweet foods (suckers, etc.)

Dental check-ups Everybody should visit a dentist at least once a year
The dentist may take x-rays and will check for signs of tooth decay and gum disease Normally your teeth will be cleaned as well

Practice Safety Have an emergency plan in case of accidents, fire, or injury. Smoke/CO2 detectors and a fire extinguisher are all essentials Wear seat belts and/or helmets, use equipment only in good-working condition.

Pursue Healthy pleasures

Do at least 1 of the things on your list every day for 1 week (as long as you have the time!) Enjoy and repeat!
