7 Hierarchy of Consequences
Students must be allowed to keep their dignity. Take time to get the facts. The consequences must fit the rules’ violation. Do not over react. Institute a hierarchy of consequences from minor behavioral issues to those that necessitate involving the principal or calling the guardian or parent. Some violations take the matter out of the teacher’s hands. In such cases school policies are then evoked.
