There are two teams in 6th grade – a team consists of four teachers, one from each core subject: *Language Arts *Math *Science *Social Studies Students on the same team share these four teachers, which allows teachers to plan activities, homework/testing schedules, etc. for their students.

6. What does the day look like?
Frontier Trail Middle School opens at 7:30am
Students are welcome to enter the building at that time and have breakfast, talk with friends in the commons, or hang out in the Library.

Option 3: Semester class (Choir) = 0.5 credit
4 quarter classes = 1.0 credit
Option 2: Full year class (Choir) = 1.0 credit
2 quarter classes = 0.5 credit
Option 4: 6 quarter classes = 1.5 credits

6th graders need to plan for 60 minutes of homework each night
Teachers are available most days before and/or after school to assist students, and during Jag Time
Jag Time is an important time to start homework

24. Athletics
6th Grade students can participate in Cross Country in the fall and Track in the spring.
