1 Photographic Elements

2 What is Depth of Field? Depth of Field can be defined as what do you want to focus in your picture, such as in front of, behind of, the point of focus. This means that, do you want the background of your subject to stay focus or blur, or, do you want your foreground of your subject to stay focus or blur.

3 What is Depth of Field? For long Depth of Field, the background and foreground of the subject will stay focus. Using the Depth of Field technique, you are able to create excellent pictures.

4 What is Depth of Field? Depth of Field or DOF for short is a description of how much of your photograph is in focus. A shallow depth of field simply means that one specific area of your photo is tack sharp while other elements remain blurred.

5 Shot Angles Your shot angle is the level from which you look at your subject. Your shot angle can change the way the viewer responds to the scene – consider the response to someone speaking to you at eye level to that of speaking to you from above.

6 Bird’s Eye View This is an extreme angle the point of view from above
Camera looks down on the subject, decreasing its importance The subject looks smaller

7 Worm’s View In this shot the camera looks up at the subject
Making it seem important, powerful, or perhaps larger than it is to the viewer Ground level, up close

8 Standard – Eye Level The most common used shots is the eye level shot
It's the most familiar perspective - we usually see things from our own eye level Make sure you shoot at their eye-level, not yours
