4 Children Must Be Taught Respect
For Parents - Ephesians 6:1-4 God does not take disrespect for parents lightly- Leviticus 20:9; Deuteronomy 21:18-21 Anything God takes so seriously, we also ought to take seriously- Ephesians 6:1,2

“to evaluate that person accurately & honestly, & treat him with the deference, respect, reverence, kindness, courtesy, & obedience which his station in life or his character demands.”

For Older People - Leviticus 19:43 “rise before the gray headed & honor the presence of an old man” For Government – Romans 13:1- 7; 1 Peter 2:17 Authority figures: Principal, Teacher, Police Officer, etc.

For God – Psalm 89:7 Hebrews 12:28 Jesus our example – John 6:38 Matthew 26:39 Hebrews 5:7

9 Some Consequences Of a Disrespectful Attitude: Proverbs 17:21
Shows you “Despise” your parents- Proverbs 15:20 “Despise” “To reject, refuse” “to do that which implies contempt; to slight, neglect, make little of, to treat contemptuously & proudly” (Wilsons’s OT Word Studies)

10 Some Consequences Of a Disrespectful Attitude:
God’s Wrath is Upon You- Romans 1:30, 32 Proverbs 30:17 – signs of judgment on a disrespectful child

Causes Parents to have Joy- Proverbs 10:1; 15:20; 23:24,25 You show yourself to be Wise – Proverbs 1:8,9 A beautiful Life is Most Admired- 1 Peter 3:3-6 God rejoices in you – Proverbs 23:15,16

12 To Be Respected, You Must Respect Others
The Sooner You Learn & Manifest Proper Respect For Others The Better & Happier Your Life Will Be
