1 Dominant bacterial phyla found in different stages.
Dominant bacterial phyla found in different stages. Shown are bacterial phyla in eggs, early and late larval instars, pupae, and newly emerged female adults of Culex nigripalpus developed under the field conditions. Only phyla with an average abundance of >0.1% were included. Other unclassified sequences accounted for 0.3%. Archaea and an additional 16 phyla accounted for <0.1%. Egg samples 1, 4, and 5, early instar samples 7, 10, 11, and 18, late instar samples 14, 18, 20, 41, 42, 46, and 47, pupa samples 20 and 38, and female adult samples 32 to 36 were taken from high-nutrient regimens. The remaining 27 samples were derived from low-nutrient regimens. Dagne Duguma et al. mSphere 2017; doi: /mSphere
