2 Proclamation of 1763 Quartering Act (1765)
The Proclamation of 1736 said that colonists could not settle west of the Appalachian Mountains because they did not want to defend the land. Quartering Act (1765) The Quartering Act required colonists to house British soldiers and provide them with supplies to save Britain money.

3 Stamp Act (1765) Stamp Act Riots (1765)
The Stamp Act was a tax in the colonies on certain documents such as newspapers and contracts that directly affected the colonists. Stamp Act Riots (1765) The Stamp Act Riots were led by groups like the Sons of Liberty and they would burn down buildings and harass stamp officials.

4 Colony-wide Boycott (1765)
Stamp Act Congress (1765) The Stamp Act congress was formed to protest the Stamp Act and the colonies all came together to write a petition against the act. Colony-wide Boycott (1765) The colonists started a colony-wide boycott on imported British goods.

5 Stamp Act Repealed (1766) Declaratory Act (1766)
The Stamp Act was repealed in 1766 by the Parliament after they saw how upset the colonists were with this. Declaratory Act (1766) The Declaratory Act was passed right after the Stamp Act was repealed by the Parliament in 1766 and it stated that Britain had supreme authority over the Colonies.
