Family Life
They are solitary creatures but come together for two months a year when tens of thousands come together. They give live birth and their babies are called pups.
Description
Harp seal babies have white fur with a black nose and adults have gray and black wet skin. Adult males weigh 285 pounds, females are slightly smaller.
Diet
They are piscivores, a special kind of carnivore. They eat 67 species of fish and 70 types of marine animals.
Habitat
Harp seals spend most of their time in the oceans of the Northern Atlantic and Artic oceans and less time on land.
