Description
Coral Reefs can be found in many shades of color. There size is .25 to 12 inches (.6 to 31 centimeters.). A polyp has a skin called porous.
Diet
My animal is a carnivore. The coral eats plankton, fish, and shrimp.

When it is new born, a polyp floats down and attaches itself to another polyp.

Habitat
The coral lives in a special ecosystem because the coral is very fragile, just one touch the coral might be harmed. The coral lives in tropical water in the sunlit part of the oceans. The coral must live in shallow water where the water is warm all times. It also cannot be polluted.

4. Life Cycle
A baby polyp is born by eggs or by a single polyp. At certain times, lots of polyps give birth to baby polyp. Baby polyps look like small beans with hair.

Older polyps look like tubes or strings of rock. Some look like brains which of course are brain coral. Others look like fingers, they are called finger coral. After they die, they turn white, and leave a rock were they once lived.

Corals enemy include us humans, fishing, pollution, anchors (boats in general.) , TNT ( and so on.) , star fish, marine slugs and snails. There favorite food is plankton. They also eat fish and shrimp. Coral eats by pulling prey in.
