1 A Peek at This Week in… Ms. Bonick’s 4th Grade Reminders Math Reading
Friday, Sept. 2 Reminders Students should be practicing their multiplication math facts. They need to be fluent in facts 0-12! Math Students are working on different ways to write a number. For example, you can write them as a number name, as a numeral, and in expanded form. Reading Students have been talking about what good readers do and how to choose “Just Right” books . Students are also working on what independent reading looks like in the classroom. We are still in need of glue sticks, disinfectant wipes, and hand sanitizer if you are able to contribute. Writing Students have begun building their Writer’s Notebooks! They have decorated their notebooks and begun to build up resources to help them to be better writers! Upcoming Events Bucket Fillers Thursday, Sept. 8 at 7:00pm is Back to School Night! Come learn about the upcoming school year from the 4th grade teachers! This will take place in Ms. Biehl’s room (Room 204). Students listened to the story “Have You Filled a Bucket Today?” and brainstormed what it feels like, looks like, and sounds like when we fill someone else’s bucket. Filling a bucket means you are being kind and thoughtful.
