2 Project Overview Second graders are exploring animals, their lifestyles, habitats and geographical locations.

Compare and contrast Reading Animals: Comparing Behaviors Noise Level 1 Tuesday With your reading partner, open your Treasure Book to pages Discuss the Talk About It. Then, read Animals Need to Eat to learn your new vocabulary words and discuss word endings. Wednesday Get a partner to read with this week. Then, together Splish Splash, Animal Baths by April Sayre. Thursday Finish reading Splish Splash. Friday Complete the comprehension activities after you have finished reading the story. 4 Writing Fantasy- Animals

Proofread one’s own writing Writing Fantasy- Animals Tuesday After your editing is complete on your Fantasy story from last week, type your story in WORD and save it in your Writing Folder. Wednesday and Thursday Share your draft with a partner and get feedback to make improvements based on your rubric. Friday Turn in your final copy to the Turn In File to be graded. Be sure you picked a book that you can read alone. Silently read . After you finish your book, write the name of the book in your Data Binder. Be sure to fill in the information about your book in your binder. If you can answer all the questions in your Data Binder, get your laptop and log on to AR to take your test.
