1 Normalized radial cumulative stellar mass distribution centred on the BCG (left-hand panel) and the MMCG (right-hand panel) for the MCXC/SDSS comparison samples and for the Cl1604 clusters and groups. Normalized radial cumulative stellar mass distribution centred on the BCG (left-hand panel) and the MMCG (right-hand panel) for the MCXC/SDSS comparison samples and for the Cl1604 clusters and groups. The normalization in all cases is by the total amount of stellar mass contained within 1 Rvir of the BCG (left-hand panel) and MMCG (right-hand panel). The samples plotted and the meaning of the lines and shaded region are identical to Fig. 14. Note that the fraction of stellar mass contained in the average high-redshift Cl1604 BCG/MMCG relative to the total amount in the cluster at ≤1Rvir is identical to that of the average BCGs/MMCG at z ∼ 0.1. The presence of massive companions to the Cl1604 BCGs/MMCGs is still apparent in this representation. B. Ascaso et al.
