5 Serves as the Presiding Officer in the
absence of the Faithful Navigator Complete charge of Uniform Ranks of the Order- Be the helpful ‘eyes’ for the Navigator. Responsible for inspecting Location of turnouts. Decide seating arrangements , etc… Know ‘WHO’ is there and give direction Always aware of space and preference Work accordingly w/ Faithful Captain of Assembly 5

RIM OR LIP OF BEARER IS TO BE TUCKED IN /UNDER WHEN WORN. (REMOVE) 3. MALTESE CROSS OR OFFICER MEDALLION - ACCORDING TO RANK IS WORN AROUND THE NECK SUSPENDED BY A GOLD CHAIN WITH NO OTHER NECKLACES 9

ONLY ONE (1) Exemplification maybe held annually with no more than five (5) Ladies being exemplified. Ex. April to April Best practices – work all year; start early; pick a date/time and stick to it

17 Wake Ritual & Funeral Services
The Faithful Captain shall be in charge of the Wake and Funeral Services of a deceased member. Contact with family members should be made by the Faithful Navigator and Faithful Captain receiving approval for Ritual. Length and time MUST also be explained to family PRIOR to services. Suggestion: Create for your needs Membership profile form (i.e.“wishes”) should be kept on file detailing deceased members last request (regalia, which rituals, both etc…). This could be shared with the family. Profile sample in Captain’s Guide. Provided for everyone in Conclave Agenda. 17

18 Continue: Wake Ritual & Funeral Services
The Biblical Wake Service ‘I SHALL SEE GOD’ Shall be used as the wake Ritual for deceased members of the Ladies of Grace Division. ARRIVE EARLY= NO later than 30 minutes PRIOR to the start of standing guard- Only stand guard during wake service NOT DURING THE RITUAL & NEVER w/3rd degree

19 CONTINUE: WAKE RITUAL & FUNERAL SERVICES
Resolution of Condolence will be signed by the Faithful Navigator & Faithful Comptroller and read by Faithful Navigator and/or Faithful Captain Demonstrate (practice) “Changing of the guards”– Formal Protocol functions – wake service, procession in and out of church

21 DO’S AND DON’T’S Do dress properly.
Don’t just show up for turnouts. Ladies of Grace must be invited. Do follow the instructions of the Faithful Captain Don’t be disrespectful of those in charge; “You may be in charge next time around”. Do be aware that others are watching you, act accordantly. DON’T SPEAK OUTSIDE THE ORDER TO ANYONE Do remember that “Thou are a Gracious Lady” at ALL times. 20

22 Conclusion Always ‘Consult for Results’
Communicate all to your Navigator Stay prepared ; use your LOG White book & Chapter By-Laws & Constitution, Robert Rules , Bible Refer to pages KPC- Handbook to become familiar with seating, processions, church arrangements. Captain’s Guide is always HELPFUL VERY IMPORTANT VERY IMPORTANT Medallion of Recognition: Medallions of Faithful Navigators and Faithful Captains are to pass onto the incoming officers. Past officers keep their shoulder braid (green or orange color) but NOT THE MEDALLION
