Students will meet contract requirements. Students will attend all mandatory meetings and interact with their mentor(s). Students will be involved in the Academy events and affiliated organizations. Students will be involved in EHS events and organizations. Students will represent themselves, the Academy, and Elkins High School with integrity, honesty, and respect.

Our mission is to support and enable academy teachers to mentor and provide exciting educational and extra-curricular opportunities for all academy students. We strive to provide monetary and other organizational support for the teachers and students of the academy, such as mentoring, field trips, internships, career counseling, guest lectures, donations of equipment by local businesses for instructional use, etc.

13 Fundraising Participated in 2019 Marathon (Sunday January 20, 2019), as Elkins High School Engineering Academy Booster Club Had 60+ volunteers. Both Kids (12 years and above) and Parents. Several Perks were given to the volunteers by the Marathon Committee. That includes Race Crew T-Shirt, Jacket, Volunteer Certificate, volunteer hours for kids signed by Race Crew Lead, free food during volunteering time, free parking. It was lot of fun. Got a check for $750 as grant to booster club. You can do more!!!.

EA students must take four Engineering Courses: 9th: Introduction to Engineering 10th: Principles of Engineering 11th: Civil Engineering and Architecture OR Aerospace Engineering (ACADEMY ONLY) 12th: Engineering Design and Development No online/cbe for GSA once HS is started, must do level III PrePA; cannot do on level for 3

It is highly recommended for students to have completed Algebra II. Must have completed Geometry by the end of 8th grade. Note: Chemistry has a prerequisite of one HS science credit and therefore, can not be included in the double up option. Note: AP Biology has a prerequisite of 1 credit of Biology and 1 credit of Chemistry. Brewster

EA: Introduction to Engineering required Pre-AP Math class required Pre-AP Science class required Beckman/Counselor Again—stress CBE, summer, online restrictions Stress that they do course selection as outlined by MS The sheet you submit tonight will be used for verification purposes. You should have already signed up online with your 8th grade counselor in the manner specified by your middle school. For students not currently attending a FBISD school, you will do your final course selection when you register in summer.

25 Contract Requirements / Dismissal
Enrolled in the appropriate sequence of Academy and academic courses as outlined by the coordinator Maintain a 75 or higher in all Academy specific courses; 70 in all others Complete a total of 100 community service hours by doing a minimum of 12.5 hrs each semester Participate in at least 1 approved enrichment activity each grading period for a total of 4 each academic year Discipline/Behavior Expectations Beckman Students must get credit for all courses attempted (so if no credit for attendance, composite grading, 1 sem courses, etc.) IBMA students must earn certificaitons Will go over service/enrichment later in spring

26 Student Oath Students, stand up and repeat after me:
I will complete at least 4 credits of Engineering courses I will maintain a grade of 75 or higher in my Academy classes I will maintain a grade of 70 or higher in my other classes I will earn at least 12.5 volunteer hours each semester I will complete at least 2 enrichment activities per semester I will complete 1 credit of Computer Science I will be enrolled in at least one Pre AP math and at least one Pre AP science course each year.
