4 Some Facts About Your MBA Program
Sixty (60) credit program Two years to complete – graduation in May 2020 Courses offered: weekdays, evenings in the second year and Saturday mornings Elective courses: Newark, New Brunswick, Jersey City, & Morristown) Must attend calculus and statistics during Orientation with Professor Oppenheim. Script: Our part-time MBA program is a 60 credit degree program which typically takes 2-6 years to complete. Upon admission to the Business School each student is asked to select an affiliate campus. All students are eligible to take courses in Newark and New Brunswick regardless of their affiliation. We also offer select courses on our satellite campuses located in Jersey City and Morristown. It’s important to note the MBA program has three semesters each calendar year: fall, spring, and summer. Part-time students are expected to attend classes every semester including summers. Students who miss a semester, will be prohibited from registering online until they meet with an academic advisor to discuss their registration. As a new student you are encouraged to take no more than 6 credits or 1-2 courses your first semester. If you are receiving financial aid, be sure to register for at least 6 credits each semester to maintain your eligibility. Many students have been required to complete proficiency courses as a condition of their admission. Calculus and Statistics are no longer offered at the Business School, but the requirement may be fulfilled by following the Zoologic Modules and successfully completing the Calculus and Statistics examinations at the end of each module. You also have the option of completing your proficiency requirements at a county college and presenting your transcript to the Office of Graduate Admissions. Although the credits will not transfer, as long as you receive a B or better in the course and submit your transcript for evaluation, you will have fulfilled your proficiency requirement. Please check your admission packet for more information on your admissions conditions. If, after checking your packet, you are still unsure of your status, please contact the Office of Graduate Admissions at (973)

Some students elect to take two concentrations to help improve their marketability to prospective employers. Please note a dual concentration may require additional credits beyond the 60 credits necessary for graduation. However, your total credits cannot exceed a total of 75 credits toward your MBA degree. 10 Academic Policies Academic Standing: Time Limit Academic Integrity
Cumulative GPA Requirement: 2.5 or greater to graduate Academic probation for CUM GPA below 2.5 Dismissal after second time CUM GPA is under 2.5 Time Limit Complete within two (2) calendar years Academic Integrity Familiarize yourself with the Academic Integrity Policy:

11 Academic Integrity http://academicintegrity. rutgers
Academic Integrity Principles of academic integrity require that every Rutgers University student: Properly acknowledge and cite all use of ideas, results, or words of others. Properly acknowledge all contributors to a given piece of work. Produce all work without the aid of unsanctioned interpretation or conclusions Obtain all data or results by ethical means and report them accurately. Treat all other students in an ethical manner without interference. Uphold the canons of the ethical code of the profession for which you are preparing.

12 Code of Student Conduct http://studentconduct. rutgers
Code of Student Conduct Principles of the code of student conduct require that every Rutgers University student refrain from: Acts of dishonesty Safety violations Physical misconduct Sexual assault/non-consensual sexual contact Bullying, intimidation, and harassment Defamation Hazing Invasion of privacy Theft or damage to property Distribution of alcohol, narcotics, or dangerous drugs Stalking Disruption Disorderly conduct Undisclosed recording Violations of other university policies Abuse of the disciplinary system

13 Helpful Tips Make sure we have your everyday address. Check it regularly. MBA Student Services communicates official information to you via the MBA listservs, like deadline reminders and graduation information. Know your registration deadlines and add/drop dates. Register for your courses early online using the web registration (WebReg) system. Pay your term bill by the due date, else a $125 late fee will apply. If you don’t pay by the due date, the Registrar will deactivate your registration, you will lose Blackboard access and Student Accounts will add the late fee. Know and understand the MBA curriculum. Core & foundation courses should be completed first. Most concentration courses/electives have core prerequisites. Use your “Degree Completeness Worksheet” in conjunction with the concentration guidelines to determine your course selection. Keep records of all actions for advanced standing/substitutions or exceptions to university policy and regulations.

14 Making it Through Avoid working part-time. Full-time MBA students will need more than 60 hours each week for classes, projects, readings, and group meetings. Don’t miss more than one class per semester (and if you do, your grades may reflect it!). Impress your teammates. They may grade you. If you are unprepared for class, tell your professor ahead of time. If you are arriving late or not attending class, tell your professor ahead of time. Enjoy learning.
