3 Fig 2 The venous conduit was Y-connected to the arterial conduit. During antegrade cardiopulmonary bypass, point A was clamped. The blood flow went in the direction marked by the black arrows. During total-body retrograde perfusion, point A was released while points B and C were clamped. The oxygenated blood left the oxygenator and followed the direction marked by the white arrows.
