2 Hi Bulb Buddies! Congratulations on completing the last task! You really are Super Scientists! In this next task, we will be discussing how you will collect flower records.

3 Keeping flower records: From January to April, check daily to see if your flowers have opened. Record the date that your flowers open and the height on that day. Note the date like this – (12/02/05) and the maximum height like this - 123(mm). Keep your notes on these charts.

4 You must measure from the top of your pot to the top of the plant in (mm). ABCD Practice Quiz: Height

5 Write down how tall each plant is in (mm)? ABCD Practice Quiz:

6 Answers ABCD A = 53mm B = 44mm C = 38mm D = 15mm

7 ABCD Practice Quiz: Flowers How many open flowers can you see? It is quite difficult to tell in a picture – but try your best!

8 Answer: There are 8 flowers in total – I have marked them with stars. The rest are buds –like this – when they open they will be flowers.

9 Before flowering… Read Professor Plants blog page and watch the flowering map & charts to see where the flowers are opening 1 st

10 As soon as your flower opens… Send in your records to get your flower on the map & charts!

11 Once open… Get drawing! Download activity sheets to label the parts of your flower or enter our annual drawing competition to win prizes!
