1 Intro to Data & Internet

2 Transport Speeds for Data Products
ADSL 384K/1.5Mbps DS1: 1.5 Mbps ( Can be bonded to 12 Mbps) DS3: 45 Mbps OC-3: Mbps EoC from 5 Mbps to 90 Mbps Fiber 5 Mbps – 1000 Mbps in 1 Mbps increments

3 Fractional T-1 FT-1 uses a portion of a 24-channel T-1 circuit. A fractional digital service in multiples of 64 Kbps over two channels up to 24 channels. Common speed rates for this type of service are 128 Kbps, 256Kbps, 512Kbps, and 1.5 Mbps

4 Fractional T-1 FT-1 uses a portion of a 24-channel T-1 circuit for data and the remainder for voice. A fractional digital service in multiples of 64 Kbps (56Kbps for voice) over two channels up to 24 channels.

5 Internet Access Services

6 What is the Internet? It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies.

7 Dedicated Internet Access
Dedicated Internet Access provides fast, high-speed, Internet access for your company or organization. You'll be directly connected to NetFortris’ high-speed routing architecture, delivering high quality Internet experiences and service performance.

8 Dedicated Internet Access
NetFortris provides internet connectivity that robust data more efficiently and reliably over the internet. We will analyze the traffic situation on every major internet backbone, and then select the path of least resistance for immediate delivery of mission-critical information and fluid communications. How We Do It Set up Private Access Points facilities Provide direct access to each of the major backbones Our routing technology pre-determines the most efficient path between the data sender and receiver and routes the data accordingly Our network infrastructure has built-in redundancy and fault tolerance

9 Multiple Backbone Provider
NetFortris peers with multiple backbone providers and maintains a real-time view of Internet conditions. Traffic can therefore be routed via the alternative paths to avoid carrier outages and maximize Internet performance.

10 NetFortris Performance
Monitors and measures network performance by viewing individual devices at the transport layer, sending data packets to each device on your network. It will monitor and measure circuit utilization, packet loss, and latency.

11 Dedicated Internet Access
Key Benefits and Features: Unique network infrastructure with built-in redundancy and performance Intelligent routing technology Dedicated and proactive service support – 24/7 Highly redundant routing and route management technology Single connection to all major backbone providers Bypass congestion points on the Internet, avoid packet loss, latency and other difficulties that can plaque conventional Internet connectivity Optimal data transmission – any time of day

12 Common Internet Terms to Know
Key Benefits and Features: Public IP address= The internet addressing system Private IP address = Private network address system DNS = Domain Name Servers Backbone = Main links of Bandwidth = Kbps, Mbps and Gbps ISP = Internet Service Provider LAN = Local Area Network WAN = Wide Area Network Modem = Modulate/Demodulate POP = Point of Presence URL = Uniform Resource Locator (www address)
