An individual’s personal motivations are most important in one’s perception of others I have my opinions, my goals, my own understanding of the world, and my self-esteem that I reference to understand others’ behaviors

5 Understanding Others Social Categorization
I want to understand my world fast It is cognitively efficient of me to put people into categories so that I might understand them fast Remember representative and availability heuristics? That guy Jim is wearing a baseball hat, so I bet he plays on a sports team.

Implicit Personality People have traits and temperaments I understand people based on indicators of their behavior that imply their personality Smart people are skinny geeks who wear glasses. Presidents cheat on their wives.
