4 NACCHO’s HIA Program Since 2010, NACCHO has supported HIA practice among 17 LHDs in 14 states by providing funding, technical assistance, mentorship opportunities, and training Thirteen were paired with an experienced mentor that provided additional training, assistance and guidance over the project period.

7 Purpose of the Community of Practice
Promote the use of HIA at LHDs through a peer-to- peer collaborative environment. Provide LHDs an opportunity to improve and shape the HIA field nationwide.

8 Purpose of the Community of Practice
Share relevant information and innovative models of practice and lessons learned. Increase access to technical assistance, webinars, and other educational information or skill building opportunities.

9 Community of Practice Roles
CoP Participant’s Role Take ownership of the CoP mission and work plan Design and create needed HIA resources as defined by members Share experiences through mentoring and participating in the development of comprehensive examples and materials NACCHO’s Role Provide a framework and platform for the group Facilitate and support members to execute the work plan Monitor and track progress Disseminate and share CoP resources, materials and best practices
