MCC has designated Student Success Centers available for ALL students to gain help with academics, career services and life issues. Each center is staffed with tutors and instructors to help you be a successful student. With the right resources and relationships, there is no end to what we can achieve. 6 MCC Connect MCC Connect (the college’s call center) is the college’s primary mode of resolving students’ questions and concerns (866) , or internal extension 1142 (Click to return to Table of Contents)

7 What is MCC Connect? Monday – Thursday 8 am to 7 pm
MCC Connect staff are available seven days a week to help answer general questions about the college, connect you to other employees who may assist you, and resolve student and employee technology issues. MCC Connect staff members are able to assist with advising, enrollment, financial aid, and technical support. OR look at the academic calendar for a quick way to find enrollment and withdrawal dates, semester start and end dates, and holidays. Access student address is username followed by students.mohave.edu Ex.: Access your OneDrive account Store files and access from anywhere (the “cloud”) Access Microsoft Office programs Download and install free copy on personal computer (best) Use online versions of the program Same password as JICS/myMohave Access by logging into JICS/myMohave (jics.Mohave.edu) and clicking on “ ” OR Direct website: (Click to return to Table of Contents)

19 Ways to access Microsoft Office
If you do not already have MS Office, you can: Download a free copy onto your personal computer from your MS Office 365 account Click “Install Office apps” in upper right corner of home screen, then follow installer directions Use View (click icon to left for information) Use an on-campus computer Use the Microsoft Office 365 online versions More limited than desktop versions Requires an internet connection MS Office 365 Online Applications (Click to return to Table of Contents)

20 Accessing MCC Click on the “Outlook” icon to open the online version of Microsoft Outlook Your MCC Inbox will be opened. From here, you can: Read your Send an Use Microsoft Outlook’s Calendar You can also have your MCC forwarded to another account. You can also have your MCC forwarded to another account: 1) While in Outlook, click the gear icon ( ) to open Settings 2) Next, click on “View all Outlook settings” (Click to return to Table of Contents)

22 Forwarding MCC Email to Another Account (con’t)
3) Click on “Forwarding” under the “Mail” tab to bring up the Forwarding dialogue box 4) Click on the box next to “Enable Forwarding” 5) Enter the address where you would like your MCC forwarded 6) Click on “Save” to complete forwarding. 23 What is View? View is a virtual desktop that you can use anywhere you have internet access Like a computer inside a computer Be aware: your physical computer and virtual computer can’t “talk” to each other Can’t access files on a flash drive from View Must access files from H: drive, OneDrive, Google Drive, , etc. Works with PC and Mac Login info is the same as Schoology Desktop will be as if you are working on an on- campus computer Lots of software available, including MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, and QuickBooks Can access your H: drive Direct website: Server: view.mohave.edu (Click to return to Table of Contents)

24 View There are two ways to use View:

25 Using VMware Horizon HTML
Using the VMware Horizon HTML Access allows you to run View in an internet browser such as Google Chrome, Safari, or Mozilla Firefox. No programs are downloaded onto your computer. Click on “VMware Horizon HTML Access” to open the VMware Horizon login page. Login using your MCC Username and Password (Click to return to Table of Contents)

26 Using VMware Horizon HTML
Choose “Staff View” or “Student View” as appropriate (Most users will have only one option) Your screen will look just like you have logged in to an on-campus computer. You can now access your H: Drive and/or use any of the programs that are installed on MCC computers. Your H: Drive is located here (Click to return to Table of Contents)

27 H: Drives Every student has a personal space for saving files called an H: drive Drive is labeled with your MCC username and the letter “H” You must save your work to your H: drive, MS Office OneDrive or other cloud-based program, or an external USB flash drive when you are working on an on-campus computer or you will lose it You can access your H: drive from any on-campus computer or by using a program called View (click icon to left for more information on View) (Click to return to Table of Contents)
