Originally a Gothic castle from the 13th century.
It is the largest castle complex in the Czech Republic after the Prague Castle and Český Krumlov.

HISTORICAL/SCIENTIFIC/ARTISTIC INFORMATION
The founder was Jindřich z Nového Hradce.
In the years the castle was rebuilt and gained Renaissance elements.
In the castle there are paintings from the 16th century and the equipment in the style of Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo and Classicism. 3 3
