4 Your Words Become Your Reality
Watch this clip and answer/ do: What are the features which make it a motivational speech? What impact do words have on choices? Write down three realistic goals for you. Share your goals with someone nearby and discuss how you can achieve these goals. Write down how you can possibly achieve your goals after your discussion. Make a meme of a motto you want to live by in order to achieve your goals.

5 Iconic Speeches Choose one of the ‘top 25’ iconic speeches on this website (other than Martin Luther King’s which we have already studied) and watch it. Then answer/ do the following: Which speech did you choose and why? Write down three reasons why you think this clip is inspirational to some people.

6 Choose your own tasks based on your confidence on the topic!
Explain the core message of the speech you chose and watched in our last activity. Give examples of the most important sentences and words in your chosen speech. Write your own speech (at least 5 sentences) of how you could convince a third person about the importance of your speaker’s chosen topic/ core message. (Note: You can pretend you are living in their time and age or if the topic is still of importance/ validity, you can explain it to someone today.) Do a little bit of background research about the speaker and time they were doing his/ her speech in. What was the motive or cause for your chosen individual to do this speech? Create a meme about the core message of your chosen speech. What kind of audience would your speaker have in mind? Would certain people/ groups be excluded and or wouldn’t agree to or even be angry at the core message and/ or speaker? Justify your answer. Choose your own tasks based on your confidence on the topic! Tip: Work at your own pace, this is not a race!
