Project Description The long term goal of this project series is to design a new Lap-Band system that can be adjusted via a non- invasive procedure The second phase of the project focused on developing a controlled pumping scheme that will accurately deliver a specified volume of fluid to the Lap-Band with each button press as well as making an enclosure that will house the motor and pump and eventually the electronics Major goals Mechanically small Low power consumption Pump fluid with accuracy and precision
4
Key Customer Needs / Engineering Specs
Pump Accuracy - Pump is able to accurately pump specified volume of fluid with each button press Microcontroller - Low power consumption and easy to use Implantable System will eventually be able to be surgically implanted into a human body Safe System is fully enclosed in housing with no contact with internal organs with the exception of the tubing and the Lap-Band
