2 Instructions… For each scene, you will need to update your CHARACTER LOG, including descriptions, conflicts, emotions, and personality traits specific to each individual in that particular scene. also, you will need to respond to the QUICK QUESTIONS for each scene, providing insight into the plot development, setting, characterization. ***If absent, it is your responsibility to complete the missed reading, questions, character log, etc.

When and where does the opening scene take place? What is the significance of the white glove that Mr. Frank finds? What is your initial impression of Mr. Frank? What do you learn about Miep's relationship with Mr. Frank? What do the laws prevent Anne (and other minorities) from doing?

What roles do Miep and Kraler play while the others are in hiding? Why is this such a risk? What can you infer about the Van Daan's "social" and "financial" status? Provide evidence. When and why must the Franks and the others be quiet? Anne slept soundly the night before going into hiding. What does that say about her understanding of events? Compare and contrast how Anne and Peter feel about their yellow stars. How would you describe the relationship between Anne and her father, Mr. Frank? Provide evidence.
