Advertising Standards Authority Ensuring high availability for a complaints management database with Techgate and IBM
The need:
The UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) investigates tens of thousands of complaints about advertising content every year, and has very tight targets around the acknowledgement and investigation of these complaints. Without a solid disaster recovery strategy for its complaints management database, the ASA risked being unable to process complaints on time in the event of service interruption.
The solution:
The ASA worked with Techgate, an IBM Business Partner and business continuity specialist, to create a fully managed, cloud-based disaster recovery environment for its complaints management database. Hosted at Techgate’s data centre on IBM® System x® 3550 M4 servers and IBM Storwize® V7000, the platform uses VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager to deliver automated, end-to-end recovery management.
