Tests & Projects – 50%
If score lower than a 50, I enter 50 in Powerschool and enter the actual score in the comment section
Quizzes – 20%
Classwork & Labs – 20%
Homework – 10%
Usually graded for effort, not accuracy

Grading
Students who wish to may take a retest on tests, to try to raise their grade. The higher of the two scores will be counted toward their grade.

Tips for Success
Look at each study guide as soon as they’re passed out to know what students are expected to learn-check their progress periodically
Learn the vocabulary quickly-can’t apply the information if they don’t understand the words
Help them use the study guide answer sheets they receive
Keep an organized notebook
Complete assignments when they are due, especially study guides!
Find study methods that work for your child-many kids haven’t had to study before now.
