BAX , Information on clusters , Tools for retrieving information
, Data from numerical simulations , Tools for data analysis on (X-ray) clusters , Education and public outreach
3
Clusters are complex ... Challenge for the VO! Multiwavelength data:
Extended objects, not necessarily well defined... Multiwavelength data: optical, IR, UV, X-ray, mm, radio, Gamma,... Several components: stars, gas, metals, dark matter Challenge for the VO!
4
BAX Phase I , Start simple: X-ray clusters , “Data” from literature
, Basic data + Bibliographic + Keywords
5
Content of the database Basic data Complementary information
Cluster's coordinates (RA, DEC) and redshift z retrieve from existing database (NED, ADS,CDS) Selected published observational measurements: the X-ray flux (Fx), the X-ray luminosity (Lx) and the X-ray temperature (Tx) Complementary information Existing published data Keywords attached to bibliographical references or measurement for query on clusters that meet relatively complex selection criteria, or/and specified either by positions or by the observational measurements.
6
How BAX operates - Display the ouput as
Display the basic data: (RA,DEC,z,Fx,Lx,Tx) on requested cluster(s) Acces to all measurements and/or biblography - Display the ouput as a list of bibliographic references - www link on each selected bibliographic reference Display all the available measurements on requested cluster(s) Display the list of references wiith the www link

BAX Phase II : explicitly interfaced to the VO
, Less simple: all data on clusters including images, spectra, ... , Data from existing database , Tools for on-the-fly (re-)analysis
