Society questions: how are people’s lives affected? How are cultures affected? Do some people benefit at the expense of others? Environment: how are plants and animals affected? How are air, water and soil affected? What is the long-term impact on the environment? Economic: How are local, national and international economies affected? Are meaningful job opportunites provided? Is there a long-term economic gain for people and communities?

7 New Goals for 2015 and Beyond?
2015 COP21 Paris (Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) legally binding global climate target was agreed by all 196 member parties aim of capping climate change well below 2°C of warming $100 billion pledged annually to support the process of low carbon transition in developing countries Countries now tasked with developing strong low carbon strategies, driving the partnerships and funding opportunities  to accelerate this transition Link to video: 2017 COP23 taking place in Germany Focus on pathways to achieve this transition provide a platform for cross sector stakeholders (nations, NGOs, private business, scientists, etc…) to come together to build the future
