Buffet breakfast at Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens.
May 7th – 8th, 2019 You will depart on your overnight bus trip to Washington D.C., stopping for meals en-route (not included). Buffet breakfast at Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens. Mount Vernon - the estate and gardens of our first president, George Washington. You will have time to see a film at the visitor center, tour his home and explore the grounds. White House Photo Stop. Lunch at National Place. Ford’s Theatre & The Petersen House - you will learn about the assassination of President Lincoln Guided Tour of FDR, Jefferson, and MLK Memorials You will arrive at your hotel and check in Dinner at hotel

May 9th Howard University Campus Tour ( TBD) Visit National Zoo
You will have breakfast and board the bus to begin your day. Howard University Campus Tour ( TBD) Visit National Zoo Lunch at Reagan Trade Center Museum of American History - you'll explore the richness and complexity of the American History. The Museum collects and preserves more than 3 million artifacts—all true national treasures. You'll be able to view everything from the original Star-Spangled Banner and Abraham Lincoln’s top hat to Dizzy Gillespie’s angled trumpet. The collections form a fascinating mosaic of American life and comprise the greatest single collection of American history. Free Time at Smithsonian Museums - You'll have free time to explore the Smithsonian Museums of your choice such as the National Air & Space Museum, National Museum of the American Indian, the Museum of Natural History, the Museum of American History and the American Art Museum. Dinner at the Georgetown University Dining Hall. Visit Einstein Memorial. You will visit the World War II, Vietnam War, Lincoln, and Korean War Memorials. You will return to the hotel for the evening.

May 10th – 11th You will have breakfast, check out of the hotel, and board the bus to begin your last day. Arlington National Cemetery and Wreath Laying Ceremony - you will take a tour and see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Changing of the Guard Ceremony, the Challenger Memorial and the Kennedy Grave Sites. You will also participate in a wreath laying ceremony. Visit Iwo Jima Memorial. Supreme Court Library of Congress Tour of Capitol Building - The United States Capitol, a monument, a working office building, and one of the most recognizable symbols of representative democracy in the world. Your tour will begin with a short introductory film and include stops at the Rotunda and National Statuary Hall. Lunch at the Capitol Building Holocaust Museum/ Daniels Story - you can learn about the Holocaust from the perspective of a child. This exhibit presents the history of the Holocaust in ways that children can understand. Visit Air Force Memorial and 9/11 Memorial at the Pentagon. Dinner at Pentagon City Mall Board bus for overnight trip home and arrive home on the 12th

There will be a $25 late charge for any payments not made on time
There will be a $25 late charge for any payments not made on time. There will also be a $25 returned item charge for any returned checks or denied e-check payments. If payments are not received on dates due, your reservation may be canceled. If canceled, there will be a $50 fee to reinstate the reservation if space is still available.

•After your child’s 3rd or 4th grade conduct has been reviewed from last year’s report card, the parent waiver will be sent home. •Sign and return the waiver. The trip packet will be sent home. •Register your child online for the trip and pay the first installment to secure your child’s seat. •Sign up for Class Messenger.
