4 Be Strong in the Lord

5 ? The Source of the strength: The Exhortation to the Christian:
“… and in his mighty power’ The Lord is strong and mighty, the Lord is mighty in battle (Psalm 24:8) …the working of his mighty strength, which is exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand…. (Ephesians 1:19-20) But God made the earth by his power… (Jeremiah 10:12) The Exhortation to the Christian: “Be Strong in the Lord…” ?

“… and in his mighty power’ God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him (Col. 1:19) …His eyes like blazing fire, his feet were like burnished bronze, his voice like rushing water, his face was like the sun (Revelation 1:14-16) …he made a public spectacle of them triumphing over them by the cross (Col. 2:15 The Exhortation to the Christian: “Be Strong in the Lord…” LOOK to Jesus

12 Ephesians 4:26-27 26 “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold James 4:7 7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 1 Peter 5:8-9 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith……..

Gaze upon his mighty strength and deeds Be Strong in the Lord Unseen, Serious and Dangerous Constant battle Subtle schemes of lies and attack But…. Satan is a defeated Foe We can stand To Stand Against the Devil’s schemes Put on the Armour of God HOW? WHY?

Gaze upon his mighty strength and deeds Be Strong in the Lord Unseen, Serious and Dangerous Constant battle Subtle schemes of lies and attack But…. Satan is a defeated Foe We can stand To Stand Against the Devil’s schemes The Word: Knowing it Proclaiming it Ready and Living it Confident in salvation Put on the Armour of God All Occasions All kinds or prayer All perseverance All the saints Pray always HOW? HOW? WHY?
