There has already been rapid spread of the programme – initially there were 60 practices in 6 boards, this has since spread to include 90% of practices in 2 boards, with an additional 3 healthboards participating. The programme tools are now part of GP training, and can be used as evidence for GP appraisal. Both the trigger tool and safety climate survey have been included in this years QOF
