Maths
In Maths we will continue our work surrounding number through the active and engaging scheme of Singapore Maths. We will be doing lots of work around number bonds, addition and subtraction. We will also start to look at positions in terms of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and also the concept of left and right.
English
We will be basing our Literacy work around a picture book every half term and this term our focus is ‘Spyder’. We will be looking at a number of genres including non-chronological reports, recounts, poetry and character descriptions to develop our writing, reading and speaking and listening skills. We will also be using a range of punctuation and grammar including capital letters, full-stops and finger spaces to develop our writing.
Computing
In computing we will continue our work surrounding programming and will use these skills to programme Bee-Bot’s to take a set course. We will also continue our learning about E-safety, ensuring we know how to be safe when online. PE
We will continue our working with Elite Sports and our learning about multi-sports. We will be learning about the different ways that our bodies can move and increase our spatial awareness.

Creative Curriculum
Can you remember being small? Being a baby and learning to crawl? Do you recall a favourite toy, maybe a teddy bear or a best loved book? Look back at family photos of special occasions, perhaps holiday snapshots or a birthday or two! Remember a wedding, or a christening and find a funny photo of your parents when they were young! Learn about how to write a diary of days gone by, and find out about the days before you were born. Then make a special box; a memory box to keep special things. In years to come you can revisit them and remember how you looked when you were young.
