2 Current Alternative School
ACE and LEAP are currently located at the Huntsville Center for Technology. The District has to move from that location by the end of the school year.

3 New Location The District would move ACE, LEAP, and some central office positions to the former Academy for Academics and Arts facility at 2800 Poplar Avenue. The City currently owns that property. The Lease Agreement is for the District’s use of about 56% of that facility.

4 Features of the Lease Agreement
Length – April 1, 2019, until June 30, 2029 Rent – Cost of Maintenance except roof, parking area, sidewalks, fire alarms, and structural systems. No other rent costs. Utilities – based on proportion of square footage used (56%). Space – Three wings of the building, parking lots, and use of theater when coordinated with the City.
