5 Homework Homework is given on most days. Students need the practice!! Homework checks are random (usually 2-3 per week). Checked for completeness and effort. Students should check their answers in the back of the book or on the website.

6 Homework Homework needs to be done at home, not during RA period!!
Can’t focus as well Develops bad habits for next year when there is no RA period Students should learn to look in their book for help when needed

7 Keeping an organized notebook is VERY important!!!
Students must learn to use their notes. Helpful when doing homework. Helpful when studying for tests.

8 What if my child is absent?
Must make up work. Check HW website (Google Classroom). Students will have more success when they get caught up QUICKY!!

9 How will my child be Graded?
Tests: announced in advance Quizzes: announced in advance Homework A+

10 How will I know my child’s progress?
All Tests/Quizzes will be sent home except for the Quarterlies. Look on the Home Access Center (HAC) Each checked HW worth 2 pts. Interims halfway through every marking period on the HAC. Know the calendar!! Report Cards. 

11 When can my child get additional help?
RA period 8:15 – 8:45 two days per week. Clinic 3:00 – 3:45 on Thursdays after school.
