Current condition description Comparison of Metal Halide and LED Proposed project scope and cost Proposed project graphic Questions/discussion

3 Current Condition Description
Current lighting original to the building (2003) Current lighting is metal halide, which even in good condition is yellowish in color and relatively dim compared to white light Areas of particular concern are the front faculty parking lot and the student parking lot Due to monetary constraints, we will do the project in phases in order to keep per-year costs to a minimum We will plan into future renovation budgets a lighting upgrade for the north and west parking lots (near tennis court and cafeteria)

4 Comparison of Metal Halide and LED

5 Comparison of Metal Halide and LED
MORE UNIFORM ILLUMINATION WITH LED LESS SHADOWS WITH LED

6 Proposed Project Scope and Cost
Purchase 32 LED pole lights from Graybar using US Communities pricing ($17,620.00) HCS Electrical Department mounts lights using existing personnel The only additional equipment needed will be a rented boom lift (approximately $2,500 for a week) Total cost of project will be about $20,000 Order-ship time on the lights will be approximately six weeks No new poles required Most poles will continue to have one light, replacing metal halide with LED, one for one Center poles (6) will have one additional LED light mounted on them to increase coverage in the most trafficked area Each light has a 5-year warranty

7 Proposed Project Graphic (each red dot is a pole)
