3 What is i-portunus? i-Portunus is an initiative funded by the European Union, to help artists and culture professionals take advantage of short-term and flexible cross-border opportunities: to move between European countries, develop international collaborations and audiences, and fully benefit from – and contribute to – Europe’s diverse cultural ecosystems. The results of this pilot project will be key in shaping a new mobility support action in the Creative Europe programme,

4 What is i-portunus? LENGTH OF MOBILITY
A mobility must be between 15 and 85 days in length. FOCUS DISCIPLINES The focus is limited to two sectors: Performing Arts (Circus, Dance, Opera, Performance, Puppetry, Street Art, Theatre) Visual Arts (Crafts, Design, Digital arts, Fashion, Fine arts, Graphic arts, Photography). TYPES OF MOBILTIY International Collaborations Production-oriented residencies Professional development Presentation Cultural change MOBILITY For i-Portunus, mobility means a trip abroad for professional purposes. It might be travelling to a professional artist residency, to present your work for international audiences, to exhibition or showcase, to work with cultural project partners, to develop international collaborations etc.

6 What‘s new in the second call?
Group Applications Group applications (up to 5 people) are now possible. In the first Call, only individuals could apply for financial support from i-Portunus. Segmented Mobility In the first Call, all mobilities had to be continuous, meaning it was not possible to split the mobility into different parts. In the second call, applicants can opt for a segmented mobility. Each single trip in a segmented mobility must last a minimum of 5 days. The total number of days has to be between 15 and 85 days. Example: 10 Days in September and 8 days in October Disability Support Additional financial support can be provided to artists and cultural professionals living with disabilities.

i-Portunus received over 1200 applications during the first call.
