2 Asian Carp The Asian carp is native to china and was imported to the southern part of the united states. And were found in the Mississippi river basin. They also served to help keep aquaculture facilities clean. Asian carp can dominate native fisheries in both abundance and in biomass. A bad impact they have is when they hear a boat they jump out of the water really high and can hit the people on the boat. A way they tried to stop is with electrical barriers in the river. NY

3 Asian Clam Native to fresh waters in Asia.
It got here by getting imported as a food source. It affected the species that ate phytoplankton But there are also good affects like The shells of dead Asian clams can also provide a hard substrate on soft sediments, creating new habitat for other species that prefer hard substrates. But that could have bad effects on the water Wanted to shift to eradicaton to containment of prevention and spread NY

4 Asian Shore Crab Native to the western pacific ocean from Russia
Got here from international shipping Could bump out fish, shellfish, and other crabs Could effect other species They don’t have any ways to yet NY

5 Chinese Mitten Crab Native to eastern asia and korea
It could be in salt water and freshwater so could travel far and even go on land for a long distance An impact it has fish passage facilities, water treatment plants, power plants, and other facilities NY

6 Mute swans Native to Europe and parts of Asia
Swans escaped captivity from New Jersey in 1916 It threatens lots of native waterfowl species because It is very aggressive Mute swans pose a threat to aquatic plant communities and other organisms that rely on the vegetation to survive Egg addling, culling and euthanasia used to try and control the species NY

7 Northern Snakehead The snake head is native to parts of asia and Africa the northern snakehead fish entered the United States when aquarium owners discarded their unwanted exotic captive species into local waterways. This species is of concern because it is a top predator and disrupts the natural aquatic feeding structure in ecosystems. They are at the top of the food chain so they eat everything and is effecting how the food chain is supposed to happen Waters with snakehead fish presence can be treated using chemicals. They use chemicals to try to control them NY

8 Sea Lamprey The sea lamprey is native to the northern hemisphere
But spread all over and now lives in florida and in the gulf of mexico They spread by getting threw canals and natural barriers It is hurting the fish population because it sucks on to the fishes scales and stays there and the fish cant get it off Problems the sea lampreys are causing is recreational, economic, and ecological damage What they are doing is to try to stop and control the sea lampreys is designing traps, barriers, and lampricides NY

9 Burmese python The Burmese python is native to southeast asia
The Burmese can survive in florida because the land is similar to where they are from in southeast asia The Burmese got to florida because people would have them as a pet and then they would get to big so they would let them go and a big reason they are all over is because the hurricanes let them free from zoos eat warm-blooded prey and they also consume crocodiles and iguanas. Fish, turtles, and snakes, they also eat flying foxes and leopards FLORIDA

10 Cane Toad The cane toad is native to Northern South America, Central America and Mexico The cane toads were brought to austrila and many warm climate areas It got to diffrent places because they brought them over to try and control crop pests They are spreading very fast and predtors are trying to kill them but they put out a toxic ooze and it kills them and it is effecting the plants as well Use yellow lights around your house, check for cane toads in water and remove eggs that you see austrila

11 Nile monitor The nile monitor is native to Africa
They got to Africa because people would have them as pets and then let them free and then the population started growing they have affected egg-laying animals and birds like owls, turtles, and others. Impacts on environment from the nile monitor are they eat small dogs and cats, also owls and other things florida
