Founded in 1987 by Steve MacRostie.
Began as a Chardonnay house, first vintage of Pinot Noir in 1992.
1997 Steve MacRostie planted his Wildcat Mountain Vineyard, a fog-shrouded site with ideal mountain terroir and volcanic soils, located in Petaluma Gap. Its the backbone of our brand and is still the largest source for MacRostie wines.
Today, our stunning new Estate House & Winery is located in Healdsburg in the heart of the Russian River Valley, surrounded by our estate Thale’s Vineyard.
