2. Purpose
The purpose of this project is to show that I can complete a construction project using all aspects of the construction process.
This project will exercise the skills and abilities learned from the Construction Engineering Technology program.

4. The Building Wood Framed Concrete Foundation
Estimated 3,826 sq. ft. for each building
Estimated 957 sq. ft. for each unit.

Drawings will be used for a rough estimate and budget.
One story layout.
Two story layout.
Each building will have 4 units.

Cost/Benefits Analysis
Do the Benefits outweigh the Costs for the owner?
Will it be a profitable business ?
How long will it take for the business to pay itself off?

10. Site Assessment and Selection
Location will be in the Hammond area.
The owner would like a site big enough for future expansion, if desired.
Once the land is chosen it will be surveyed.
Building codes will be acquired.
The location, size, and cost of property will determine:
The building layout that will be used.
The number of buildings that can be built on the property.

11. Conclusion
The completion of the activities this semester will allow the full completion of the pre-construction documents for next semester.
