6 Love Matthew 22: 37-39 Jesus answered, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and most important commandment. The second most important commandment is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ Matthew 22: is when Jesus tells us to “Love the Lord your god with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important commandment. The second most important commandment is like it: Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” This is great when our neighbors are easy to love. But what about when our neighbors are hard to even LIKE? This is a challenge. Our society has lots of troubled neighbors. There is crime, violence, and just plain lack of manners. Yet, do we show love to these people? I’m not suggesting we accept wrong behavior. This is simply a reminder that it is our job to love everyone. Even those who are a challenge. Today in your quiet time, think about someone in particular who rubs you the wrong way. Have you held a grudge? Turn your annoyance and frustration over to God. Ask God to help you find love in your heart. Trust Him to work on your heart. Have patience.
