1. What To Do In Case Of An Injury
Step One- Make Scene Safe and Treat Injured Person
Step Two-Determine if employee needs further medical assistance
Step Three- If injury warrants- contact an ambulance.
Next- Due to the confusion in trying to find construction locations; send a vehicle to meet the ambulance on main road.
If a life flight is needed the Sheriffs Dept/Ambulance service will establish landing locations and call out the nearest air-ambulance.
Sheriff Department/ Ambulance Dispatch dial 911.
Step Four- Contact Shell OSR/Company Rep- Shell OSR contacts Shell HSE.
Step Five- If injury is not life threatening take employee to the nearest medical facility. In the event that the injury has occurred on a weekend or after-hours a non-emergency medical clinic may be closed. When the injured employee is being transported by a non-emergency vehicle be sure to call ahead so that the clinic is ready for your arrival.
