5 Global Gaming Expo - October 2004 General Information GDS devices utilize the Human Interface Device (HID) class, page 0x91, of the Universal Serial Bus (USB)

6 Global Gaming Expo - October 2004 General Information contd GDS devices use full speed, 12Mbits/sec. GDS devices are compliant with USB1.1 Devices are event driven Some events carry transaction ID (TID events) An application level acknowledgment (ACK) is required for TID events If an ACK is not received within one (1) second then the TID event is resent to the host In case of failure, device will cease to report TID events Some devices implement a Non Volatile Memory (NVM)
