1 JACKSON STREET CHURCH OF CHRIST PLEASE TURN OFF CELL PHONES
WELCOME TO THE JACKSON STREET CHURCH OF CHRIST PLEASE TURN OFF CELL PHONES

2 John 3:14-17  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15  that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

3 DIMENSIONS OF LOVE!

4 LOVE The world is starving for love.
Since “God is love,” according to 1 John 4:8, I’m convinced the world is actually starving for God! We will consider love from seven different dimensions.

5 LOVE LOOKS BACK I look back and see the One who died for me!
2 Corinthians 5:14-15, “For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” Galatians 2:20  I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

6 2. LOVE LOOKS UP I look up and see the greatest lover of all!
Matthew 22:37, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” 1 John 4:9  In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

7 3. LOVE LOOKS OUT I look out and see my neighbor!
Matthew 22:39, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 6:10  Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

8 4. LOVE LOOKS AROUND I look around and see my own spiritual family!
John 13:35, “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” 1 John 3:17  But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

9 5. LOVE LOOKS WITHIN I look inside and see the soul God gave me!
Matthew 22:39, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 16:26  For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

10 6. LOVE LOOKS FORWARD I look ahead and see the Lord that wants me!
James 1:12, “Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” Titus 2:14  who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

11 7. LOVE LOOKS DOWN I look at the uplifted Christ on the cross and hear what He says to me! Luke 23:34, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” Romans 5:8  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

12 LOVE FULFILLS ALL John 3:16 is one of the all-time cherished & well-known scriptures in the Bible. The Royal Law - James 2:8  If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well; Love Others As Christ Loved Us John 13:34  A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. John 15:12  This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

13 LOVE FULFILLS ALL Love Fulfils the Law
Romans 13:8-10  Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9  For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." 10  Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Galatians 5:14  For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

14 LOVE FULFILLS ALL Fulfills The Law and the Prophets
Matthew 7:12  Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 22:36-40  "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" 37  Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' 38  This is the first and great commandment. 39  And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' 40  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." LOVE TRULY IS THE GREATEST COMMAND.
