1 Capillary recruitment is associated with albuminuria.
Capillary recruitment is associated with albuminuria. Bar charts showing the association between recruitment during postocclusive peak reactive hyperemia (left panel) as well as during venous congestion (right panel) and the presence of albuminuria ≥30 mg/24 h. Tertiles of the percentage recruitment during postocclusive peak reactive hyperemia ranged from 55.0 to (tertile 1 [T1]), from 27.0 to 54.9 (tertile 2 [T2]), and from 0.0 to 26.9 (tertile 3 [T3]). Tertiles of the percentage recruitment during venous congestion ranged from 55.8 to (T1), from 27.6 to 55.7 (T2), and from −2.9 to 27.5 (T3). Percentages of participants with albuminuria ≥30 mg/24 h per tertile were adjusted for age, sex, and type 2 diabetes (model 2) by marginal standardization. P values were derived from the same models.
